a walk downtown

It’s been two years since I captured this sweet family in their home (one of my favorite story telling sessions), so I was excited when they wanted me to capture them again.  This time they asked me if they could go for a walk in Minneapolis along the river and across the iconic stone arch bridge and I could tag along and snap away. So that’s what we did.  There were piggy back rides and sassy poses by the little one and bunny ears…oh the bunny ears.  But most of all it was just them hanging out together as a family and me trying to document a little bit of their summer.  It was so fun and I’m so grateful that families keep requesting me to tell their stories.

Also, a walk downtown on a hot and humid summer evening wouldn’t be complete without ice cream at Izzy’s.  Of-course not!  After walking downtown with this crew I’m thinking my family is going to have to make a trip down there soon.

Here is their story telling session, music by Ben Rector.
