It’s been awhile since I’ve done one of these posts, so let’s all get caught up, shall we?
I’m currently hearting…
Our Minnesota fall. The weather has been beautiful. The last two days temps have been at or near 70 degrees. In November. My soul rejoices.
Gilmore Girls on Netflix while waiting for season 6 of Parenthood to come out, but only when D is not around.
The Flash on Netflix when D is around, I think Barry Allen is pretty adorable.
A new favorite sweatshirt.
The way Evie always turns back and blows me kisses on her way into tutoring every week.
The long shadows of trees in our backyard this time of year.
Planning lunch dates with D.
Surprise flowers sitting in my kitchen.
Sour cream that now comes in a squeeze container. Game changer.
Listening to Podcasts on my runs. Most recently a series from Bethel Church on Gideon. (And I’m always open to new suggestions for Podcasts.)
A handwritten card in my mailbox.
A finished basement. (An unfurnished one, but still, a finished basement!)
The way Eli randomly comes up to me and gives me big hugs and tells me he loves me.
And the return of this lady.
And I wish Taylor would have put this acoustic version on her album.
My comfy new plaid shirt.
And finally, this verse, which I wrote on a notecard and put by my sink after reading it last week in the midst of autumn rain:
Blessed are those whose strength is in you,
whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.
As they pass through the Valley of Baka (or the Valley of Weeping),
they make it a place of springs;
the autumn rains clothe it with blessings.
