one fall morning

Four years ago (I had to look that up) I took photos for the family in the slideshow below.  I had newly discovered my love for photography and had just started taking photos for people.  It was back when I had my starter camera, my starter lens, and newly acquired editing skills.  I was so green, yet the mom of this family trusted me and told me that she still has a canvas of one of the photos we got from that session hanging up in her office.  So when she asked me again I was thrilled to capture them for a second time and hopefully add another canvas to their walls.

A few things about this session:

I adore little boys.

The little one’s hair.  Seriously.  I just can’t.

I absolutely LOVE seeing the mom in these photos.  For our last session she didn’t want to be in front of the camera and now she embraced it.

Boys will be boys.  The sticks and leaves were a constant temptation and one that I just had to capture.

Can we talk about those leaves?  I love black and white photos but for this session it was color all the way.

It’s so fun for me to have families ask me to take photos again and again.  I love seeing how kids grow up and change and I feel blessed to be able to capture that for them.

Here is their slideshow (music by Plain White T’s.)

gina - These are amazing! So beautiful Stacey. Their Mama looks stunning as well!

Alina Jeffers - my love and thanks to you Stacey. For photographing my boys, Matt and I. I just see childhood in their faces and not the misbehavior that was actually going on :)I am blessed that we found you to capture our lives in picture!!! xoxo

Andrea - Such pretty all colors. Our tress are just beginning to turn since we had such warm weather up till this past weekend. Can’t wait to see the colors.
